At fischertechnik, we believe in introducing STEM concepts early to build a strong foundation for young learners. We’re excited to offer CLASS Sets, designed specifically for elementary students (ages 7+). These sets are perfect for group STEM learning, allowing two or more students to collaborate while exploring key technical topics. Each Class Set includes materials for 15 students and a teacher, with 16 identical parts sets stored in organized trays for easy use and cleanup. Designed for hands-on learning, they come with lesson plans and task sheets, covering topics like Gears and Optics to make STEM engaging and accessible for young learners. Plus, our "Introduction to STEM" series helps educators bring standards-focused, curriculum-based lessons on simple machines and entry-level robotics to students in grade two and above.
How does a bevel gear, a belt gear or a rack and pinion gear work? What happens when the transmission ratio changes? Young students age 7 and up can investigate these and many other questions using 15 models and twelve experiments. The models can be set up quickly and easily in the classroom and can be used optimally with the help of the ready-made tasks and solutions.
Explore optical phenomena, and experiment with light in class! Explore penumbra and umbra, discover many exciting things with a magnifying glass or determine the time with a sundial. These and many other exciting topics can be taught in an engaging and hands-on manner using the CLASS SET Optics. In addition to the six models, which can be built quickly and are therefore easy to teach, the kit offers six exciting experiments.
How does the light in the stairwell come on? Why does it go on at the bottom and off at the top? These and many other questions about electrical circuits are taught in an engaging and kid-friendly way using our Class Set Electrical Control with nine models and 25 experiments. The models can be easily built in class and directly integrated with the ready-made tasks and solutions.
Renewable energies are becoming increasingly important to our future. The CLASS SET Solar Energy is the perfect method for introducing young students to this vitally important topic. With three quickly assembled models, the basics of solar energy can be taught in class using ten ready-made tasks, including solutions, with lots of fun and exciting insights.
fischertechnik Introduction to STEM II is a more in-depth introduction to technology and robotics. This set uses everyday technology and invites students to construct 12 easy-to-understand models. Students are offered a foundation in STEM concepts with a focus on computer science. Based on the easy-to-use ROBO Pro Light software, this set introduces programming activities and incorporates robotics as a catalyst for interactive learning. Through building a model, students will experience hands-on applications of programming and see how it translates to the physical world. Engage students with hands-on activities that will help them develop an interest and aptitude in computer science and other STEM subjects. This education set is recommended for grades 3-5, and includes standards-based curriculum.
